New Kingdom, 19th to 20th Dynasty, ca. 1292-1070 BC.
From Deir el-Medina, Thebes.

Ostracon presenting a musician monkey with a dancer. In painted limestone, with a height of 14 cm, 10 cm wide and 1.5 cm thick,
the ostracon dates from the New Kingdom

The ostracon figures a monkey standing playing the double flute in front of a naked woman who caresses her chin with a lascivious gesture and seems to invite her to follow her.
The woman seems to have been drawn in a second step by a different hand, in order to add an erotic dimension to the original scene.
